The 2022 NAIDOC Awards provides an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the contributions and achievements of local Aboriginal people, groups, and organisations in a range of fields including, sport, employment, service delivery, culture, community  service, and education.

Nominations close June 17, 2022.

Eligibility

The purpose of the 2022 Eurobodalla NAIDOC Awards is to acknowledge and recognise the work and talents of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, therefore, the nominee must;

  • Be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, with the exception of the Non-Aboriginal Organisation Award.
  • Live, work or be actively involved within their communities.


Selection Criteria

The Selection Panel will assess nominees on the following;

  • Demonstrated excellence in their nominated category.
  • Nominee’s status as an inspirational role model within their community .
  • Demonstrated leadership.

Stephen Kelly Award

 The Stephen Kelly Award, proudly sponsored by Katungul ACRH&CS, is an award honoring the late Stephen Kelly’s commitment to the local communities within the Eurobodalla. This award pays tribute to those following in his footsteps and contributing to the outcomes of the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the Eurobodalla.

To be eligible for the Stephen Kelly award nominee's must: 
  • Be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
  • Have worked in Health field for 5 years or longer.
The Selection Panel will assess nominees based on the following:
  • Demonstrated excellence and achievement in the health sector.
  • Nominee’s status as an inspirational role model within their community.
